- I would suggest MacOS High Sierra, it works really well on my MacBook Pro mid-2012. A nice feature about these models is that they are upgradeable. I now have 8Gb RAM and a 500Gb SSD drive and the MacBook runs noticeably faster, and easily copes with Windows as a virtual OS. With these specs it should handle MacOS Mojave OK.
